Mouse lag
Just got the demo, and the mouse lag on the menu is the worst I've ever felt in a game. Common issue with the game? Or is there a fix? Completely unplayable (and unbuyable) as is.

this is a game you probably want to use a controller on.

Yea I don't use a controller on my PC, pretty much a blasphemous act as far as I'm concerned. Not a big deal if I miss this game on PC, sounds like it will be in the best buy bargin bin for consoles in 2 months anyway.

controllers make way more sense in some games and its pretty narrow minded to avoid getting one just for the sake of being stubborn.

It's the 30fps that makes it feel laggy, then the vysnc 60fps still feels like crap.

I've got both, a wireless xbox controller and the mouse/keyboard and I like the mouse in this game better. I aim faster and run quicker. In the demo at least. Sure the anology stick makes his movement look smoother though but who cares.
who cares? I would think anyone with eyeballs. 30 fps and mouse are not a combo I can stand as I most certainly want it to look smooth. I sure as crap want to reduce that jittery look as much as possible. and 60 in this game doesnt help much if at all.

Just do yourself a favor, suck up your pride and play the game with a damn controller. I bought a controller while back when Dark Souls came out for pc because it absolutely needed it , it was simply unplayable without it and since then I always play third person games with it. Third person games just feel so much more natural with a controller, specially this game in particular, it just feels solid compared to the seemingly slapped on mouse support based on how jerky it is. But yeah the analog control makes every turn and aiming smooth as hell. Sure it makes aiming harder I get that, but I'm still enjoying myself, Hey it adds to the challenge too, I dont know how to aim with these damn analogs but that's alright, I've almost beaten the game with it lol.

But still I do agree that PC games should have solid mouse and keyboard controls. Sadly that's not the case for this game.

Try it though with third person games. Feels great. But ofcourse when you want to get competitive in some FPS gaming action you definitely need that Mouse and keyboard.

I might seem like a big fanboy for controllers but I'm not, I'm just telling you how it feels to play this game with a controller. I am a crazy FPS gamer, I own multiple mice and mousepads, know every trick in the book on getting rid of mouse acceleration and calculating proper Dpi/Sensitivies to get great accuracy, big fan of Counter Strike, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, Quake 3, BF3, etc. I'm not a controller fan, I just know it works great for some games.

I'm not playing it at 30fps so no problem there. I meant his animation looks smoother, "someone with eyeballs" lmao. Whatever, effeciency > character animation any day. Same in Assissins creed, people tlak about how you should play with a controller, once you use the keyboard and mouse properly there is no going back though, it's just makes you actually better and more effecient at the game. Oh Thor how much faster I could aim those mortars on the ship with a mouse in AC4 lmao, in TEW I can turn quicker, shoot faster, and aim better. I don't care about anything else.
I specifically mentioned that 60 fps in this game is not really any better. its still about as choppy as 30 and adds a bit more hitching when panning around. I tried the mouse and it felt like garbage due to the janky feel of the game. whatever works for you though but I certainly could not take it.

What has PRIDE to do with sucking up using damn wigglesticks instead of a mouse for shooting purposes. @Prometheus. I play many games with my 360 pad but if i have to aim there's no way i do that to myself. It even has slight aim assist even if you use a mouse. GIve u s raw input or just don't make any controls at all for KB/M. Would fit with the rest of a horrible port perfectly.

Everythings just half baked. smh.

Only a few PC games would 'need' a controller and those are all platformers or soccer sims.

Like him I also don't ever use a controller and there is nothing narrowminded about our choice. Quite the opposite, it is narrowminded today to make a 3D exploration game that is basically calibrated only for the not-natural controll scheme. Yes, controlers are for arcade games, a copy of the arcade machines scheme put into your hands. A mouse and keyboard is the fastest and most freeing scheme in terms of movement and aiming, there are 20+ years of testing behind that fact.

So I have no intention of playing with a controller to make the game longer and more annoying to play, especially with that 50 FOV on this straight port. It needs a beefy PC and doesnt look that good between all the bloom and lenses/reflections.

And in the end I fire up some old ♥♥♥♥, like Enclave, and it feels better when playing...

Considering I'ts already a crappy console port and has the bare minimum for PC graphic options, there's no reason to buy this for PC. As I stated earlier it's worth the bargin bin price it will have soon.

The mouse pointer really lags a lot in the menu, but during the actual gameplay it works great, there is no mouse acceleration or any other issues.

Same problem here. Then I switched the resolution from 1080p to 720p and the terrible lag vanished. Probably because the framerate improved. Why that would influence the mouse movement, I don't know...

perhaps you should read a little closer. he flat out refuses to use controller at all on any game on his pc. so yes that is narrow minded.

The only games that actually benefit from analog sticks are racing games, fighting games and some platformers, so he's not really narrow minded if he doesn't play those. This game clearly plays a lot better with the mouse, because it requires aiming.

plenty of people use a controller with many games such as Batman and Assassin Creed games but am not telling you which games to use a controller for. bottom line is you are not comprehending the point anyway. the act of refusing to ever try a controller is most certainly narrow minded.
