Invisible enemies?
I was under the impression that this was a mature, gritty, raw classic style horror game..

I thought it was about the dead with their rotting flesh and maggot ridden corpses

But invisible enemies?? What the heck is this sci-fi crap? And a harpoon magic-wand gun thing?

I want to buy this, but Is this a horror game or a magic game?

+1...spot on interactive movie.

There are like, 4 invisible monsters in the entire game. As for Sci-Fi / Magic...it's horror. Very few horror games do not use scifi or magic as some sort of premise.
there's really only a chapter with invisible enemies, but the premise itself is very sci-fi. without giving away the plot - have you seen the horror movie the cell? it is a horror movie in execution, while it's premise is a bit science fiction. this is similar. except wth monsters.

The "horror" element of this game is just redundant gore everywhere. Call it horror, call it sci fi, the plot is garbage. There is very little of it start to finish and it's still somehow completely full of holes. It's an action game. Any game that claims to be survival and then has the enemies drop ammo when you're low isn't survival anything. As for the invisible enemies I can't think of more than 3 or 4 in the entire game.

The game could have been a lot better but they just decided to put some black borders up and call it art.

But seriously. Didn't RE4 have invisible giant bug style enemies? Why are invisible zombies so much worse? Better than an invisible praying mantis.

a lot of honest people in here, i was expecting to get bashed for not speaking about the game like it is made from sunshine and roses

H.P. Lovecraft would like a word with you.

If this game had more real-life based weapons like an m1-garand in place of the bubble-wand i think that would seem much more fitting

With great boobs?

Lovecrafts stuff was cool. Lol what? Boobs? The praying mantis' had great boobs or the invisible zombies? I can't remember. I can't stop laughing at the bubble wand comment. You do get a rifle later though, it's a bolt action rifle though.

I don't know what game your friend was playing, but it wasn't this one.

If you don't like sci-fi, don't get the game. Plain and simple. You'd just be setting yourself up for disappointment.

All the weapons with the exception of the Agony Crossbow are directly based on real world weapons. Even the Agony Crossbow boils down to being a non magical weapon with some advanced bolts which is explained to have been built by the antagonist.

I think they get a few things wrong though. I'm pretty sure the rifle is a customized Springfield 1903 and the unlockable machine gun looks more like a Beretta 1938 SMG to me.

Oh ok. I've seen a ton of Dracula movies but I must have missed that. Must have been a hell of a twist. A praying mantis? Guess turning into a bat wouldn't have helped her much huh?

Sounds kinda interesting. I might look that up. Lovecraft's books are an untapped gold mine as far as horror stories go. Thanks man Ill check it out.

If you want to play a fun HP lovecraft based game play the darkness within 2 its just like amnesia, and its not a stupid point and click game you actually run around

Heres a screenshot i took of it to show people that it actually has OK graphics for an older game (assuming you manually enter your desired screen resolution in the config files)
