How long did it take you to complete the story?

Hey guys, so I pre-ordered The Evil Within but haven't had a chance to play it properly yet as I'm working full-time. I was just wondering on average how long it's taking players to complete the game? I'm hoping for at least 15 hours if I take it fairly slowly, exploring and using stealth. I do plan on replaying it on Akumu difficulty once I've beaten the game, so hopefully I'll get a solid 30 hours out of it.

18-20 hours on survival (normal), akumu is f*cking hard though, one hit and you die it's for hardcore players. If you plan on finding all the collectibles, you can get a good 25-30 hours out of this. Plus there's a New Game+ where you get two new weapons and you start the game with the same stats so if you want to fully level up your character you will have plenty of fun.

This wickedly creative, tense, and yes, tough game does not suffer fools gladly, yet I was compelled to return to it after the screen bled to red every time. That, I believe, is the definition of a great survival horror experience."

One of the best games I've played... I enjoyed it just as much as Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space 1. I'm a fairly fast player too and I still hit 15 hours. Really my only complaint is the letterboxing and framerate cap.

I completed the game in under 11 hours, but I was speeding through it and didn't bother to "smell all the roses".

Now I'm going through a second time on Akumu difficulty, and it's friggen brutal.

Just over 19 hours taking my time on survival (normal).

Performance and technical issues aside, I really very much enjoyed it. Hope that it gets patched soon so that more people can appreciate it.
