White hair on a lot of characters
My main char and his police buddies have white hair most of the time. Can anyone give me a reason for this and how to fix it?

Of course it's a bug, but sometimes there are things you can do to avoid bugs. For some reason I didn't have that white hair yesterday.
If anyone has any ideas, I would be very greatful.

Did nobody else encounter that bug?

dont suppose you have a screen shot some graphics issues can be diagnosed better with a image of the issue

I experienced that bug, when I removed the Intro Bink videos of the game.

That's it! Thanks a bunch. Stupid me.

Happens with all the id5 games by the way.

Thanks, good to know. Do you know any other way to get rid of videos?
Ares Oct 15, 2014 @ 8:19am
replace them with blank ones or omething thats really quick maybe ?
Devine Oct 15, 2014 @ 8:20am
I had a blank one. That caused the issue. I'll try to replace it with a short one from the same folder.

if it still happens the game might be loading alot under those binks and they are as long as they are to help the game to load all assets it needs

It would be strange if the hair was the only thing affected by this then, though.
The game is apparently not loading anything (at least nothing that fixes the white hair) at the main menu, so I think the game still would have at least the same amount of time there before starting, even before loading a game, so at the very least there would have been a less annoying solution. I wonder whether that 'bug' is on purpose, to force us through the video every time.

Well, it worked when replacing it with the smallest file (355kb). It is still taking it's time (the video is shorter, but not sure whether the game is starting faster), but it's a lot less annoying.

Hmm, it didn't work the first time, but now "+com_skipIntroVideo 1" as a starting option works to skip the intro. I must have gotten it wrong the first time.

I have the same issues... on my gtx 760 sli system even SSAO and some Rendereed films wont show up like they s

Did you delete or replace any of the videos (like the intro)? In this case get the old videos back (for example verify game files). If that's not the case, then I have no idea what else could cause the issue.
As I said above, you can skip the intro with "+com_skipIntroVideo 1" instead in case you removed that and that's what's causing the problem.
