Unless we get another game like Crysis back from the late 2000s.
All three PCs run the game at 1080p max settings. so no worries imo i3, i5, i7, Amdx4, x6,and x8 cpus are runnign this thing. Also the Vram req is BS also.
I have the same CPU and overclock settings and the game is running fine so far with everything maxed at 1080p. GPU is a GTX 970. Haven't messed with any console commands though and don't plan to for the first playthrough at least so I can't attest as to how it will perform under those conditions.
A big help
Cheers, Robbie
I was expecting some frame-lag like I get with The Witcher 2 but so far it's smooth as silk.
It's seems the frame-rate issues other people are complaining about in the forum and in the game reviews are because they have their resolutions turned up way too high.
I have yet to see a game look better than Crysis yet the requirements keep on going up and up for games that honestly do not look or run that great.
I thought people had already learned since all the latest games have "required" an i7. I don't see any difference between my 4770k and the 4670k my brother has.
So my next pc build will be an i5 4660 for the next 4 to 8 years.
Alien Isoaltion runs on my QuadCore Q8600 on High settings(not ultra) with gtx460OC so i think The Evil within runs too. My currenttly build is equally a little bit better than XBOX360 and PS3 and the game comes out for this platforms too.
What do you think?
Yep, because the difference is not small or non-existant; there is NONE.
i7 performs exactly like i5 in the current games.
I think 8 years is too optimistic for a PC build. Things are progressing all the time.
If all you want to play is console ports, you might be alright, but the current consoles might not even be around for 8 years.
