Game plays on the wrong monitor
Hey guys, does anyone know how to set the game to play on a certain monitor? I have 3 monitors hooked up to my pc but the game plays on the wrong one. How do I tell it to play on whatever monitor I choose?

I had similar problem. Except I can't play at all. In the graphics > hardware > resolution you'll notice another number at the end which designates the monitor number.

I noticed this trying to figure out why everything is superzoomed in causing me to be unable to play. All I have is the topleft 3rds.

I usually just window mode then alt tab and drag the the game screen to what ever monitor you want it on.
Ohhh thanks Khalas! Exactly what I was looking for. It did the trick. And sorry to hear about the zooming issue. I haven't had that problem.

Yeah I tried before BadhabbitS. Didn't work for me.
I've dragged it to the monitor I want, then go back fullscreen and it goes to the rightmost monitor (I've got a dual monitor setup, with primary in front and secondary off to the right).

I can't at all figure out how to get this thing to play fullscreen on my main. I've tried switching cables/monitors, changing which screen is my main, switching the order of my monitors in screen resolution...everything. It always wants to be on my Asus monitor (the one physically on the right) regardless of what I change >.<

pathetic, wont play on main monitor except windowed, refund please
I and a few friends had this problem mostly on older games, like Project Eden.
Always opened up on the second mon.
From my experience there isn´t much you can do, sadly. Except unplugging the second monitor.

In fact, Khalas give you the answer. When you choose the resolution of your screen, you have a : 1 or : 2 after it, it's the number of your screen.

I was playing on my main monitor just fine until this morning. I loaded it up and the resolution had been set back to the lowest. I changed that back to 1080 but it is stuck on my second monitor. I set the resolution to "1920 x 1080:1" and it is still only showing up on my secondary monitor. double checked that my pc is still seeing my primary as the primary, which it is, so I don't know what to do! why wont the game play on my nice monitor when I set it to play there? setting it in the resolution solves nothing! any one else have an idea??
nvm I just figured it out, the game sees my monitors backwards, maybe because of how they are plugged unto my 780ti. so I had to set the resolution to my "secondary monitor" which is actually my primary. go figure
Simple, disable the ones you don't use. There is no need to have three monitors running when gaming. Windows Key + P
Khalas is right .... Graphic-Settings let you choose the Device to use !

Thank you, Khalas! That was exactly what I needed. I'd tried going into windowed mode and Alt+Tabing out to drag it over to the main window, but every time I went back to full screen it swapped back. That number you were talking about did the trick though, thanks.

I'm so sick of bad console ports having crazy issues like this. I had to unlock the frame rate using a command in addition to this wrong monitor issue.

Old discussion, but this might help someone regarding specifically Project Eden:

You can switch between the screens via the Graphics Card setting. You see that things happen by the resolution (likely) jumping around as you switch screen. I have a 3 screen setup, so this took a bit of trial and error, but I finally got it right. As I have 1920*1200 screens I also selected Letterbox to get correct aspect ratio.

Now replaying Project Eden for the nth time :).
