It would be a MASSIVE relief as I have been stressing about this ♥♥♥♥.
Here you go http://i.imgur.com/CyHfSOv.jpg?1 I hope this helps I was also on the fence about canceling my preorder!
I hope the same, a lot of people are mad about the V-ram specs for this game imo they just announced it wrong for the PC world to understand correctly... If the support person who email me is correct that is....
Ryse needs 4gb dedicated vram for 4k mode... there is no way EW needs the same to run 1080p.
+1
Except in case of Dead Rising like optmization...
Well, going off topic a bit but I don't believe that DR3 is a dedicated vram issue. I think they have just completely broken the game engine when trying to port it.
Did you not just read what the bethesda rep said?
It was more a general thought, if TEW is badly optimized as DR3, 4BG vam requirement is plausible. I think DR3 is already a mess on console : it's locked on 720p with a crappy framerate.
We should wait Ryse for a real well done port.
Yeah, I won't trust that, it's not from a dev. Plus, did you ever try a mod requiring 4GB of vram on Skyrim ? It doesn't work very well even with the extra shared memory because it's a lot slower to use the "general" RAM than vram (you have micro-freeze or normal freeze and stuff like that).
Anyway, let's just wait for the launch, we'll know soon enough.

Yeah, Because skyrim mods actually do need 4gb of dedicated VRAM.
Hopefully the rep is right and they actually ment shared instead of dedicated.
SHOULD?
You do realize that the bethesda guy is clueles about pc hardware right? That he doesnt know what exactly you asking him or how requirments work?
Anyway my gtx660 also has 4gb in the properties.
See the problem is the guy who puts up the requirments doesnt know anything about pc hardare or they have some seriously hard time communicating with the japanesse devs.
