Saving the lady in Chapter 4.

In the 4th chapter of The Evil Within, you see one of the monsters (I think they're called 'tortured' or something like that.) carrying a woman towards a pit of fire. Is it possible to save her before she dies?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: You can sorta save her if you shoot the thing carrying her in time, she will run into a shed and disappear leaving a small amount of the green goo stuff (the name escapes me).

You can save her, but she dies anyway, or is maybe just a ghost. Game has some weird happenings that can't be fully explained. As mentioned all you get is a bit of green gel if you do "save" her.

It is more or less explained if you care about thinking about the plot, which if memory serves you in fact did not... so... yeah...

OP is probably just on chapter 4 I'm not going to draft up this huge summary of the plot for someone that doesn't even care about it and spoil it for someone else that might care.
