hey guys is the double barreled shotgun only available if you own the pre order DLC or can you get it in gamy some other way?

You can aquire it only by owning The Fighting Chance Pack DLC.

There is nothing special about it, maybe only at the start. Doesn't affect the impressions of the game, that's for sure You can buy this DLC separately, but is it worth it? Unless you're trying to get a WR speedrun

You can't. It was a pre-order bonus pack you cannot get any other way. You had to either pre-order it or buy a code from a third party website, all of which are gone at this point. The only way to get the double barrel is to use cheat engine or to "borrow" a copy with the DLC and then copy paste it over your copy. That might make it work too.

From the wiki: Players who own the pre-ordered or special editions of the game are granted the Double Barrel Shotgun for free upon starting Chapter 3. This variant of the Shotgun deals 150% base damage and fires in an effective two-shot burst from both barrels, giving it very high DPS. This is counterbalanced by its inability to receive most upgrades available to the normal Shotgun, though upgrading the regular variant's ammo stock also increases that of the Double Barrel.

So starting out it is a much better choice.

Not sure what you meant with that last part, but yes, there's still codes available on IG for cheap. I actually went ahead and bought one for safekeeping. Keep in mind these are getting rarer, most sites are out of stock or they're expensive. I'd recommend you also get yourself a code and one extra for reselling.

I looked everywhere for a key that would cost this cheap... sadly there is none to find

the only one I found was... 60 pounds!!! Are they F mental? Also I read somewhere that you can no longer activate this DLC even if you own the code. It was time limited

It's available for 2.25 on Instant Gaming. As I said I grabbed 2 myself. Both for safekeeping. Buy 1 or 2 while you still can.
As for the "rumor" that you can't activate it anymore, I highly doubt it's real. I bought TEW back in late 2017 myself and shortly after bought a key and it worked. If you're really worried about wasting 2 bucks on IG just contact the publisher and ask them. Again thought, I have no idea why it wouldn't work anymore. Makes no sense, the only thing that was time limited as getting the code, you had to pre-order the game. But the code itself wasn't a timed thing. Unless it somehow worked for 3+ years no issue and then they.. made all other codes invalid? Again, makes no sense.

Because G2A is regarded as shady for the most part.

Also IG, Instant Gaming, has cheaper keys and is among the few sites that still have some in stock too. Just buy it there, it's better. Still under $4 for a code, while on G2A it's nearly double that from what I saw on Google.

Funny how Instant Gaming with a hyphen is censored, but without it's not. I've also noticed that G2A isn't censored on some discussions, like it's not a global filter, but rather set up specifically on only some. Or it's a legacy filter who was applied to all forums up to a certain date, but then they stopped doing it to new boards. Either way, nothing new really. Hope you enjoy the SP and the DLC weapons.
