Thanks for the reply mate, but that wasn't my question, I probably should have been more clear, I don't want to use those, I want to use conventional weapons.
No reason other than the loading screen hints that it can be done, but not recommended, so wondered if it would be doable without squandering too much ammo for the crossbow.
I supposed what originally concerned me was, is she scripted only to be killable by the fire traps and corpses in that area.
Thanks for the reply! :)
Cool, I'll upgrade the harpoon for fire and use incendiary Bolts, much appreciated!
You don't have enough ammo if you use other weapons in the first game.
Yeah iirc it takes 60k+ to fully upgrade harpoon, I have about 90k gel, so it won't be a problem, I have about 90+ craft parts to make bolts, if it takes more than that, I'll just reload and kill her as normal and move on, it's just an experiment to see how much it takes if it can actually be done. As I said, I was more questioning if she is scripted to only be killed by the lever firetraps as opposed to conventional weapons.
Thanks for the reply :)
When she chases you the first time in chapter 10 she has 1500hp and "killing"her is the only instance where she does not give gell it is recommended just to run.
Once in the second ecounter with her which has many rooms.
She has 3600hp at the start.
-The CH10 Laura proper fight has the following health thresholds for each area:
First Encounter - 3,300hp
After the first lever pull - 2,600hp
After ripping the fence - 1,400hp
After the Oven Trap - 1,100hp
If her health drops below any of these in that particular section, she will dig into the ground and not reappear until the next section. Any damage done over these in that particular section is wasted.
So if you damaged her a lot she will have 1100 hp in the final room.
that was very detailed info, thx
So lvl 4 or 5 harpoon is same dmg but lvl 5 fire one "stuns" her longer, but should not spam fire ones while she is burning but spread them out.
Yeah lowering her health is good there is a checkpoint somewhere saving her health status.
Avoiding her all along and killing her at 3600 hp on final place is very hard on NG.
Reward are pretty good for killing her,you meant to do it on NG+but I also did it on NG.
