Chapter 6 Pitch Black?

So I am stuck on chapter 6 right after i look at the newspaper about the church everything goes pitch black.. I pull out the lantern and its does nothing! Any fix for this glitch? At the moment I cannot progress.

In the hospital? That's not a glitch if it's the segment I'm thinking of. Try to persist and navigate for a bit and soon you'll know where to go if memory serves.

It just throws you for a loop.

your lamp was off ..its not glitch ..or bug ..that part of the game is suppost to be dark ..just turn your lamp on

turns out if you have the starting bik videos removed from the evilwithin folder you get this error and others, at lest i did..
