Stuck at chapter 10 Boss

What a stupid boss fight, i die everytime when he becomes purple. I have no chance to avoid it, shooting it 3-4 times with sniper rifle or the crossbow with detonating arrows wont kill him. Watched some youtube videos if i miss something, but still no chance. I have no place to hide when he turns pruple because both rooms are destroyed at this time. Anyone here who can give me a hint?

Take him to the agro stage via stealth first. You do this by hiding behind a pillar, then pistol (not magnum) shooting the eyeball that extends. This blinds him and he slumps over. Now switch to harpoon and shoot the human torso that pops up, preferably in the head.

It will take roughly 4-6 times of this before he goes agro, depending on upgrades and difficulty mode. Before he gets to the agro stage, lay down a shock bolt on the floor in between where he is when you shoot him, and where you're hiding.

When he rages and runs into the shock trap, slow down time with the weapon wheel, and select explosive bolts. Run down the hallway, and put two explo bolts on the floor, one by the red barrels, and one near that one in the middle of the hallway.

Do the same with the barrels in the next area past a car, after running down the hallway and turning right. ALWAYS craft new explo bolts right after shooting two, before continuing on. At this point you can either stand near the room near the corner and keep shooting at him (in mouth), or shock him again and run down the hallway to get distance.

that boss on Akumu is even more pain xD believe me

It took me a while but I manage to do it.
Used mostly the shotgun, explosive arrows, and during the purple phase the shocking arrow. game me so time to shotgun the eye.

When he goes purple I usually use freeze bolt then shotgun for 3 or 4 shots, then freeze bolt again and another 3 or 4 shots and he usually goes down pretty easy.

Not exactly, at least in my case, the strategy I used in AKUMU was:

1) Shooting down one head with the sniper rifle RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING.

2) Use shelters to shoot safely and run away from them THE MOMENT BEFORE he destroys them

3) After the second shelter, he should be purple, you need to shockbolt him but not RANDOMLY, you MUST do it when his eye is uncovered. Once shocked, you deal damage RIGHT IN THE EYE with your sniper rifle. Rinse and repeat until he dies (depending on your difficulty level he'll die rather soon or it will be harder)

You're welcome, I've yet to see anyone using that method not succeed with it. And the beauty of it is, between the explosive barrels, and explosive bolts, which only take 3 scrap to make vs 4 or 5, you don't spend much resources.

To those calling the big purple hole it's "eye", it's the mouth, and it's much more vulnerable than any other part of it. I laughed when one guy called it the "vagina monster" (starts with a v, rhymes with angina), referring to it's gaping mouth.
