Will DirectX 12 Run The Evil Within

My best friend bought me The Evil Within as an early birthday Present, My computer has Windows 10 and DirectX 12 and I was trying to run the demo of the game and kept telling me it won’t work update you directX I did some looking and it told me directX 12 is current.. can this be ran on my computer or did I just waste $5, due to it being on sale?

I have no clue... it’s a Windows touch screen computer top of the model for PCs it’s not a gaming computer.

Cause your OS may support it, but your GPU may not. Without knowing your GPU it's hard to advise.

run -> type dxdiag -> look through the tabs for the display adapter or device

I was going though that this morning, all I seen was Direct X 12

DirectX has two parts to it. There the OS support, and the GPU support. If your display adapter can only do DX10 for instance, but you're on Win 10 everything will say DX12 but you won't actually be able to run DX12 or DX11 content.

This is why the GPU model is important.
