Overscan when projecting to a second monitor?
So when I play games like this with a controller, I use HDMI to project onto my Sharp Aquos TV. However for some reason this game's window (in fullscreen) goes way past the edges of the TV screen when I play it at 1920x1080. Wolfenstein New Order did the same thing. My TV's overscan option is turned off because it runs other games (like Evil Within 2) just fine, but this and WNO have a horrible problem with going past the screen in fullscreen mode (I guess it's something with this engine). Anybody know how to combat this?

DPI scaling in windows

If you have an Nvidia gpu, go into your control panel. Go to adjust desktop size and position, and here is where it gets a bit trial and error to see what works best with your HDTV. I output onto a UHD tv via HDMI and run it at 4096x2160, a good starting point should be your tv's max resolution or native resolution. Once you know this, go into that tab and select from either, Aspect ratio or fullscreen. I run fullscreen scaling on mine, then go to perform scaling on and select GPU. Dont worry this won't impact performance, i promise lastly, select overide the scaling mode set by games and programs.

Then on preview select your refresh rate, 60hz it should be if not higher.

now go to where your game is installed, steamlibrary/steamapps/theevilwithin and right click on the .exe for The Evil Within. Go to compatibility now, Im assuming you are using windows 10, however I believe earlier versions of windows are similar, once on the compatibility tab, go down to the bit that says Change high DPI settings. Then, down the bottom find over-ride high DPI scaling behaviour and select application. Tick the box and click okay. Then apply.

Now load it up. You may still have to toss around with ingame resolutions to match your screens native, however, if you have setup the control panel properly the headache should be leviated.

Regards.
