I say buy it now to support Fatlus.
I got to finally play P5R when they released it for PC, i expected to love it again but it was a SLOOOG, without the novelty and knowing the story twists all the characters and the story seemed 10x times stupider and Morgana's BS was 1000x times more infuriating, i forced myself to finish it, i am STILL burnt out with SMT after two years.
I would have much rather have P5R be my first time and never played P5, replaying was not a good experience and i was unable to enjoy the extra content. So thats is the reasoning i would give to wait, you can only experience these games "for the first time" ONCE. Better to experience it when its the best version of itself.

It's like DLC. Metaphor will likely not be removed from your account (given that hasn't happened with Persona/SMT games before).
The people saying to not buy now are saying you'll get a bigger, better game if you wait (as Atlus tends to bundle the DLC into a single package eventually). Whether it's worth it or not to wait until that bigger, better game arrives is up to you.
P3R's DLC expansion would appear to confirm that.
