I feel sorry for your friend.

me too. :) but that's how he rolls.

I'm 55 hours into the game and I'm about to enter Louis' ship (I still have to go to a tower before that), I can't be close to the end, right?
You mean his ship in Brilehaven? If so, you're about halfway through.

That's good, it's gonna beat SMT V for a few hours.

And that means you did a whole lot of nothing, that's not the average playtime, you're kinda far from the end
Or maybe howlongtobeat is indeed nonsense and they need more data with very different kind of players.

What "different" kind of players? This game has literally no exploring, no side activities that don't use up an ingame day, you either play or idle/fool around and do nothing, if u play you beat the game in 60-70h with 0 scene skips.

I'm playing normally, I'm not even running around beating mobs to get 1 MP per kill like a lot of people are doing.

I'm 105 hours in and just reached the last month. Didn't "fool around".

Its important to be aware that different people have different levels of efficiency when they play games. (or do anything else, for that matter) Different people are different.

What does something taking a single ingame day have to do with real time spend?

That's literally not possible unless, as i said, you idled in the game standing around doing nothing.

? a lot? It means the game progresses at the same rate for everyone, regardless of what you do, which is why it's not possible someone spends 105h to beat the same game most other ppl beat in 60, unless they idled with the game on or looked at the same building for 30h without doing anything because again, this game has no side activities that don't progress the game, nor does it have any exploring.
Different people are different yes, in a game like elden ring that matters. In a game that progresses at the same pace for everyone with every activity you do it doesn't.

Nah, rushed would probably be in the 40 - 50 range and assume you were skipping the non-essential sidequests.
Difficulty is going to be a big factor in the time due to the way it influences the mechanics. If you assume a harder difficulty adds one round to the completion time of each combat, and that round takes a minute to play out, you're adding an hour to the game for every sixty combats the player gets involved in. So if the average playthrough on standard difficulty is 60 minutes it's well within reason you could have a ten hour window either side of that depending on whether you're playing on an easier or harder setting.

I rushed my regicide run in 30h, skipping all dialogue and scenes, still doing every quest/bond tho, only thing left to do now is beat the final boss, which will probably take an hour.
Also the extra turn hardly mattered in hard and matters much less in regicide. No enemy except bosses live through the first round in this game with how op ambush is.
The only activity that can prolong someones gametime here is grinding mobs for mag.

Just because you think it's not possible doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I did a lot of grinding and approached almost every NPC.

If that's your definition of doing nothing, then so be it.

As i said in my earlier post, the only thing to prolong the game is if u grind mag or exp (which is totally unnecessary) so you artificially boosted your playtime, that's not the standard or average. Anyone playing this normally beats the game between 60 and 70 hours period

I have no idea why you're feeling so strongly and extremally pushy about this. Were did you get your ,,most people beat in 60“ data? From the 40 people at HowLongtoBeat?
You really don't get people are different. Stop being pushy about it, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
