Just don't let the zombies pile up. If you really wanna be goofy then you can always run 3 Warriors, inherit magic to them, then on the bonus press turns, hack away at the boss with Peerless Stonecleaver which will majorly delete his health bar.
I'm playing on hard mode, and so I wasn't really able to reliably kill a zombie every turn while also damaging Zorba and also keeping my team healed. I basically ignored the zombies and funnelled all my damage onto Zorba. I had a Healer or a Mage inheriting the group heal (I forget which one, but it doesn't really matter too much), a warrior, and a knight.
The strategy was basically to have the knight taunt any time anyone else was below like 80% HP, and let the healer/mage use their heal spell almost every round. This let me keep my party close to full health. My warrior also had the single target heal from seeker for the occasional times I needed a little more health, but would otherwise focus on slamming damage onto Zorba. If my knight didn't need to taunt and I had the 2 turn icons to spare, I would have them do the combo move that hit a single target (Zorba) and lower their defence.
It was basically a brute force method, but I didn't really have a lot of other options at the time outside of just grinding or leaving the dungeon to prepare, which felt like wasting a day.
- Strohl (Brawler) and Hulkenberg (Knight) in the front row. MC (Mage) in the back row.
- Make sure Strohl has Tarukaja inherited from the Seeker archetype.
- Use zombos as a fodder for MC to get extra Press Turns.
- On Strohl's turn, buff Hulkenberg's attack.
- On Hulkenberg's turn, use "Hammer of Justice" synthesis skill on Zorba.
- Rince and repeat. Took two HoJ's and a few Perfect Punches to finish him off.
Side note: All done on Hard difficulty, with everyone being at Level 16 (Zorba himself is Level 19). So if you're playing on Normal, you should be able to destroy him even faster.
Took a few tries before I figured this out. At first I was wasting all my turns killing the zombies.
I'm also going to include a small but relevant spoiler here about something that happens right after this boss fight. I'll be as vague as possible but still include spoiler tags. This is information I wish I had going into the battle There is another boss fight after this one. You will not be able to visit the shop to buy items in between the two fights. Don't waste all your healing items on the first boss fight
