Be efficient with your mag. wait until you level up some social links before you invest in their archetypes to lower the mag costs.
make sure you visit the podium head thing every day it gives you free MAG
You don't have to go that far, tons of opportunities to farm early on lol, you can farm both MAG and Gold as early as you get Heismay because 4 party members = 4 Merchants.
And then level Warrior and Monk to Lv 3 for their damage and crit passive. This guarantees enough crit damage from Gold Attack to trivialize most encounters and you'll never run into the problem of being OOM.
You can now farm the Goblin's Nest dungeon (unlocks at 6/29)and get tons of MAG, Gold, and Hero's Leaf of Light(1000 A-Exp) from over-leveling 4 Merchants. At least until you reach high enough level that you get massive diminishing return from overworld kills.
But you can repeat this process later on other side dungeons where you can find enemies grouping up together.
This set up is also strong enough that it makes most dungeons and bosses almost redundant at least until Eht Ria , and even then this set-up is still pretty strong.
You can unlock 20k+ arch-types long before endgame.
Its possible to get bottlenecked on either Mag or arch-type exp. Depends a lot on what Arch-types you plan on leveling, and how many different ones. So you have some people (like myself) that had more of an issue with exp then Mag.
Personally by the time I reached endgame I had more then enough Mag to unlock the arch-types I still wanted to get. It would be different if I had decided to max MC or anyone else, but thats optional.
I accidentally farmed this way, was doing the 2nd quest at that tower and realized I was underleveled by like 15 so i just farmed the whole tower over and over
Basically just farm enemies at crystals to build MAG, but Archetype leveling will severely outpace your MAG farming. Wish the MAG exchange let you convert Money to MAG.
