How are you guys farming MAG?
I have plenty of Archtype exp to continue unlocking the higher tiers, but I am gated by MAG (I have talked to the heads which gives a good chuck, supports are almost maxed), I imagine farming the elemental orb things would be good, but I have not found a way to make them consistently spawn.

I am trying "steal MAG" from merchant, but 100 MP to 1000 MAG is not that great, and a bit annoying to deal with.

Overleveling too much turns most enemies into whackable on the map at which point they give very little exp. And the larger enemies that are still regular combat dont give much exp anymore either while also being harder to kill depending on the area.

I only did a little bit of grinding back in early second town area and was overleveled up untill halfway into the 4th town's mission dungeon. Not really an issue for the characters I already leveled, but for new additions to the roster its a pain.

But yes, this issue seems to occur if at any point you leveled too much. That+ unlocked too many arch-types. Especially if its Arch-types that arent required for advanced arch-types.

Just dungeon bro. Always find the cat and go to akademia to reset the dungeon and you can infinitely farm everything. Also, using mage will sustain your mp.

Step 1: Find a Trance Crystal somewhere, anywhere you outlevel spawns enough to kill in the overworld but still gives gains worth your time
Step 2: Equip any archetype from the Mage Lineage
Step 4: Bring up your Steam overlay in-game and go into your controller settings, enable turbo function and toggle for your attack button
Step 3: Put yourself far enough away from the trance crystal, enable the attack button for infinite cost-free death circle, let a few mobs come to you to test it out
Step 4: Walk away and do something else while mobs step into your kill circle forever

When you're done just be sure to turn the toggle function back off in your settings.

i do this too, but i have better success having a solo MC in the party, otherwise sometime party member can pop out and destroy the crystal from my experiment

Good point, I haven't run into the problem of party members killing the crystal so long as I'm far away enough, but solo MC is a good solution to that (and bond perks can help make sure they are still getting exp if that's a concern)

For a bit faster but still low effort farm, I'll do the 4x merchant debt collection, switch to mage to do this method until back to full MP, rinse and repeat. Even faster if you can find mobs that drop magla pills & equip the merchant passive.

ITT: a whole bunch of people who haven't reached end-game where every character needs multiple 27k+ archetypes in order to unlock yet another 30k archetype, trying to say they haven't had to farm for their 6k MAG archetypes.

Ya, no ♥♥♥♥. Amazing tips.

I have WAY more than I need without any farming.

You're on chapter 2, this is talking about end game farming.

You can equip the entire team with Merchant and steal about 20-30k worth of MAG that way. If you do this every time you leave a dungeon, (or when you fight a rival Gauntlet Runner) it will store a lot of excess MAG.

If your already very late and didnt do that, then it will be slower. You can MP passives to restore MP in battle (just skip turns) or food.

no im using wemod for infinite stuff like money, item and mag, no time for atlus crap farming method.

I farmed everything in the last dungeon of the game, just before the final boss fight.

In the second area there is a spot with two crystals that spawn a lot of ♥♥♥♥ Tenta (Tooth like monsters). They are weak and you can oneshot them in quick combat. However, sometimes, their Queen and King spawn and give lots of stuff with an unscathed win.

Ended up starting NG+ with all classes on all chars, 400k+ mag to spare and about 3m in money.

In case anyone was wondering, debt collection mainly scales with the level of your currently equipped archetype, so you’ll get almost nothing if you’re trying to level up the archetype at the same time (been there).

Slight spoiler, but for anyone having trouble/wanting to level up just to level and not because you're having trouble in the story, there's a point near the final boss with multiple of those red crystals that summon enemies constantly. Not only a good place to farm EXP of both types, Gold, and Magla, but killing the crystals(which respawn in the final area), also gives you the highest level of A-EXP items for each kill, 20 or so of which can fully level a grade three archetype.
