Price Gouging
Game releases in OCT at $70 USD
It's put on sale for $52

Since games don't cost more to make than they did 10 years ago, there's no reason to CHARGE $70.

Which means that dropping the price to $52 is only an $8 discount from the standard $60.

This is greed.
If they can afford to reduce the price to this amount, it means they didn't need to charge $70 to begin with.

This practice is illegal in all other major markets... but it's accepted in the game space because we keep supporting it.

I will never.
NEVER...
...spend $70 on a game.
Period.
Ever.
...and if YOU do, then you may need to look up what proper business etiquette is.

It's still a "new" game. If you don't want to pay the "new game" price, just go play something else and give it a year or two and the sales will get better. Geez, talk about impatient.

Game development isn't static; increased engine complexity, larger teams, and marketing costs inflate prices. A $70 price tag isn't pure profit; it covers numerous expenses. Your boycott is your prerogative, but lecturing others on "business etiquette" while demonstrating economic illiteracy is rich.
