str or magic build?

I have no idea what to go. Help me plz. I heard magic is almost useless late game and that str build is hella weak early to mid game. What do I do?

Magic is not useless late game, and Strength starts ramping up mid-game. There's no wrong answer as long as you go either route to ensure the protagonist has some form of damage, and you can always go with Magic early then transition to Strength later on - there's enough stat points to distribute that you can deal a reasonable amount of physical and magical damage.
