I'm having trouble getting consistent results- sometimes using the scatter glyph in room 2 puts me in room 1, other times in room 3. any hint would be greatly appreciated

Anytime I try to change the game to a different resolution on the main menu it'll stay on the default upon hitting apply, is this a known bug and if so any fixes?
