Hello everyone! I realized that it's been a while since I made a post here so I thought I'd make an update on the progress!

There have been lots of changes in the past weeks to the game. I've spent a considerable time working on improving the dungeon generation but I've also added modifiers, a new rune and new mob type. Since the changes are so vast, it will take a while before I release an update to the demo. I think it needs some more work before that. I am very sorry about that!

Dungeon generation
When it comes to dungeon geneneration, there are now new interesting room shapes to add further variety to the dungeon layouts. More are planned for the future! A lot of time has been spent on adding more variety to the tilesets. The game can now modify tilesets to create interesting effects such as add cracks and erosion. I also decided to use a technique called the nine-slice technique for placing out the tiles. This makes it possible to, for example, change how the walls look near the floor or near the ceiling.

New rune
I have also added a new rune to the game related to summoning. This rune can also be combined with pretty much all the other runes in the game so there's a lot of room for experimentation with it like the other runes.

Modifiers
I have also worked on adding modifiers to the game to add more variety to the weapons and armor in the game. Some examples of modifiers are "+3 to armor" or "8% to damage", etc. Some modifiers are only applicable to certain item types such as melee weapons or magic weapons but most of them are for any item. There are now around 20 modifiers available in the game.

New mob type
I've also added a new mob type that is called an elemental. As you may suspect, the mob can come in different elemental forms such as fire, water, earth, etc. It will mostly be found in certain biomes related to specific elements. For example, you might find ice elementals in ice caves.

Changes

• Removed glowing eyes on dead enemies.
  
• Updated the procedural dungeon layouts so that they feel slightly less claustrophobic. This was done by introducing the possibility for greater ceiling heights. Also, some of the algorithms used for creating layouts are now catered towards also creating more open spaces occasionally. Hopefully, these changes will add more variety to the maps and make the dungeons feel less cramped overall.
  
• Increased brightness of torch.
  
• Updated the post processing so that darker areas are not as dark as before.
  
• Updated the loot system so runebinders get more runes.
  
• Fixed issue where off-hand melee attack was triggered when using magic scrolls.
  
• Fixed issue where willpower skill could not be upgraded on 1920x1080 monitors.
  
• Updated sticky bombs so that they now stick properly to mobs.
  
• Fixed regression that caused bombs to not immediately explode when hitting mobs.
  
• Updated the damage balancing of some runes.
  
• There's now a small chance for smaller mobs to hide in urns, crates and barrels.
