Thats totaly not how much open world it is...
You're definately in experienced. The only Lego games i have played that dont have an open world are the original Star Wars ones and most Lego titles that came out around the same time. Since then just about every Lego game has been larger then that of Harry Potter(which was still massive)
I would also say the LOTR games are 'open world' in the sense that you have the entire map of Middle Earth to explore instead of being hub based like the Batman games. The LOTR games 'open world' is only broken up by invisible loading screens in the same manner as HL2.
Also I don't think the above user was calling you inexperienced. I think he accidentally added the in. I don't think English is his first language and it looks like he honestly was saying you were experienced w/ Lego games because he goes on to say the only Lego games he has played. Whereas you talked about all the Lego games.
At least that's what I thought when reading his post.
