Game keeps crashing/freezing

Okay, so whenever I get past the first bit, the opening to the game, it always freezes, when loading the screen for "Bricksburg". Anyone know why this might be, or is this just an issue with my computer? I've played games on my computer before, and I usually don't encounter problems, but this one seems to be quite persistant.

I have a Windows 7 PC packard bell laptop, btw.

I have this too, for a while it plays normally but sometimes building in loading screen just stops rotating and then i have to turn the game off. I don´t know what it´s about.

i started a new game then once i was in the prophecy level i paused the game selected options then video options changed my sreen res to 800 x 600 then then went back to the original pause menu selected quit game tried it again and it worked then once im ingame i just change it back but remember you will have to do this every time you want to go to bricksburg
