best lego game

going to buy a lego game.. never played one before so i wanted to know which one is best so i get the best experience

LEGO Marvel causes my machine to do full lock-up resets (and in forums , that seems resonably common). LOTR is awesome and lots of fun for coop (and dosen't crash). Indiana Jones and Star Wars are also good, although I get crashes with Star Wars as well.

My favorites would be Lego Marvel and Lego Batman although I've liked them all. Lego Harry Potter is less combat oriented than the others.

i think marvel is the best its an open world and u can do what u want like steal cars skydive and that stuff :D

This is the worst LEGO game, even if the movie was really great.

LEGO Marvel was really good, and also i had the most fun with it too.

also LEGO MArvel super heroes is very fun with open world and a lot of super heroes like iron man, spiderman and a lot more

Don't start with this one, its a bit different than all the others.

With that being said, any of the most recent releases will do just fine.

I have them all, while I do love the Star Wars games they are the least of my favorite now in terms of features and game play.

It was extremely tedious and straight forward before, now they've added a lot more depth and more theme to the games.

The answer to your question is quite simple - All are great but some may have some minor flaws!

The question is what kind of genre do you like? It all depends on that.
I played so far SW, Batman, Lego Movie and love all of them.

To my knowledge the only drawbacks are:
Indi: There are 2 versions one resembling the movies the other not but has some great extras instead.
Hobit: Missing the last movie doh!

Honestly, the best way to start with the Lego games is to go with your favourite franchise and stick with it. Each one essentially plays the same, but with a few different mechanics with each cast of characters relating to the overall universe and how levels play out from time to time.

In terms of The Lego Movie Videogame, it's probably the weakest of the Traveller's Tales Lego games that I have played, but only because the more recent titles like Lego Lord of the Rings and Lego Marvel Super Heroes (particularly this one and I say that as someone who isn't heavily into Marvel) have much more to offer and from a technical standpoint are more impressive in my mind.

But even then, The Lego Movie Videogame is a great way to pass the time and it is a faithful adaption of the original film whilst giving it enough expanded material to make it worthwhile. If you liked the film, chances are you'd like the game as well.

It amazes me how they can release the entire movie basically within the games not long after the movies came out. Wasn't one of the earlier games (forget which one) actually out earlier than the source material?
