Flowereverie is a peaceful flower-laden puzzle game where, to perform any action you must first spell it, by arranging letters like flowers in a vase. Cast spells, spell spells, become the land's most prolific flower arranger, and you might be able to discover the dark secrets of the town proper.

Patch Notes: April 3

Apr 3

A small patch just after the full release.
Added the Options screen to the title screen as well.
Removed an unintended debug text from the title screen.
Added a bit more railroading near the beginning to prevent players from getting confused in the early areas of the game.
Fixed a bug where continuing a save file from the Early Access version in the full 1.0 version would unintentionally unlock an endgame mechanic.
Adjusted some NPC locations/dialogue to make more sense.
Made one Easter Egg slightly more likely and less confusing.

Achievements not popping

I've gotten a fair way into the game, but so far, I haven't seen a single achievement pop up. Do I need to start a new game, and do I lose my existing progress?

Patch Notes: Full Release! March 30

Exactly one year to the day since my last update, I've decided the game is finally in a good enough state to transition to Full Release!

Honestly, for this full release, I can't believe how many things I've added. I added so many things that I have forgotten to document, that herein I list only the biggest features I've implemented:

Redesigned the entire music system, each area now has a pool of music it can pull from.
Fixed typos and spelling mistakes.
Added a new enduring mystery that overarches the entire game.
Added preloading: the title screen now loads your preferences before you hit Load Game.
Added a splash sprite that shows how new Kotodama would affect a flower.
Added more Easter Eggs.
Added more lore.
Added more worldbuilding.
Added more routes, and made the routes more cleanly defined by Ashirai.
Made the tutorial on arrangement ranks clearer.
Spruced up the endings.
Added way more QoL.
Caught the Mac port up to where the Windows version was.
Steam achievements now work on Mac.

The work is never done, I still have many more tweaks I'd like to make, but I feel getting a new fresh set of eyes on the game will help me stop bikeshedding minutia.

Patch Notes: March 30

Another patch with lots of requested features! I've been hard at work the past few weeks implementing some of the most highly requested features like Cloud Saves and Windowed Mode, and now those features are here!

All the changes today, just like the last patch, are for Windows only. The Mac version of these changes are still a work in progress.

Added cloud saves.
Added windowed support, window resizing, and fullscreen toggling.
Fixed some typos and added some flavor text and overworld objects.
Added a dozen Easter Eggs referencing other videogames.
Added a barrier in the church to move one Spell later and make it have more utility.
Changed the plant names in the museum to not contain duplicates.
Added an ingame prize for beating the game.
Gave more utility to a postgame Spell.
Added a feature that tells you what Spells you didn't encounter after you beat the game, in case you have missed any.
Added more catharsis in the ending cutscene.
Fixed picking up a flower when you had 0 of that flower always generating the New Flower text. (It will still happen once on your save file before it fixes itself.)
Changed the Sakuya's vase achievement to require not having the final flower (which it used to always require before the last patch.)

want to make a guide

this is to the developer or anyone who's proficient in the game. i really like the idea and format but sometimes the logic is a little hard and i just dont think my brain is wired the right way for the puzzles so im having difficulty. i want to beat the game and then make a guide to help people (like me) who are struggling with some of the aspects (like learning the flower mechanics/kotodama spells and the general order in which to do things) i really like this game and i think it would benefit from a li...

Windowed Mode, click-to-advance

How do I get the game into Windowed Mode? It ignores the system default keybinds and there's no access to the menu bars either. macOS13 on a MBP. Not being able to play in a window is going to be an immediate dealbreaker, and considering the graphics it really feels unnecessary. It'd be nice if you could click to progress the text as well as pressing space, it feels very weird not to be able to do so really....
