Save files not detected..

Last played at the start of November, came back to it today and my save files aren't detected. Just gives me the option of creating a new save or continuing without saving. Cloud saves are on and I can see the save files in "C:\Users\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption\Profiles\(USER ID).

Anyone had this issue?

Asking just in case, have you tried both difficulties? Normal and Hardcore have separate save files, worth checking if you haven't.

Turn cloud saves OFF, diasble M$ onedrive. Every game forum has a similar thread, somebody lost their save files or the cloud version got corrupt and overwrote local files.

It is not worth it...

......you were right. Silly me. In my hiatus I forgot HC and normal difficulty are separate saves. I was just selecting normal without remembering that my save was hardcore.

Finally solved the problem.

Go to:

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher\Profiles\755F56E4\

Delete (and make a copy if you want) Cloudsavedata.dat

Reopen the game.
