It sucks because RDR1 had the best multiplayer. I've been getting back into it on Xbox.
Just because i have no interest doesn't mean i can't show support thous who wants it.
It is clear that Rockstar is not doing it, they would have probably already said it it was included.
There is already a mod group who is taking under the task to restore it, one way or another.
If it does come out, i might give it a try,
I mean if you making > Billions < of $$$, you ain't gonna try something else till that no longer makes you enough cash.
"The future is now! Soon, every American home will integrate their television, phone and computer! You'll be able to visit the Louvre on one channel, and watch mud wrestling on another! You can do your shopping at home; or play Mortal Kombat with a friend in Vietnam!"
Subscribe to life buddy, you're losing lol.
No thanks, its cheaper to go shop myself than order expensive deliveries on my doorstep.
Also how to subscribe to life when people are actively avoiding it by staying home by the methods you just mentioned?
That said, I would be very skeptical of this actually happening, just because they likely don't see it as cost effective, and because it would arguably compete with RDR2's online ecosystem. As it is, they're discounting RDR2 heavily during this game's release, which probably isn't coincidental.
It's a win-win for them. People who buy this game and want multiplayer, might be tempted to buy 2 just for that reason. People who don't buy this due to its price or the lack of multiplayer, may see 2 on sale and grab it instead. If not, and if people just buy this, it's still a game directly connected to 2, and they probably hope to see it lead to more late adopters grabbing it as well.
Providing MP in this game, apart from the fact that they'd need to get it working functionally and then maintain that capacity, in a much older game with no way to capitalize on it as a means of microtransactional engagement, would potentially lessen some of the appeal and value of RDR2 for those who prefer this game to it.
As I said though, it can't hurt to let them know it's something people here would like to see. I'm just skeptical they'd even consider it, frankly.
