For example, i also play honkai impact, i never once complained about all the characters being female. Eventually they added in male character in a story mode which was really cool!, but i never asked for more male characters. The male character was a + in there.
When i played snowbreak, i never complained about characters only being female. They are cute and beautiful and have guns, i like. Will they add male characters? I dont know. It wold be cool if they did and have a nice variety. But if they dont, im okay with that as well.
I would also like the option myself, more options are good. But if they don't do it, its not gonna change my enjoyment of the game.
Probably not.
2024 mobile revenue thus far according to the Sensor Tower combined (global) totals posted on Reddit:
Also, if we're really going to get into just classifying if MCs are strictly men or not, Genshin Impact made $119,000,000 in April, and plenty of people ship same sex couples in that game to boot, on top of having a female MC option.
Putting Genshin aside, as an Azur Lane fan, Massachusetts x Jean Bart, Victorious x Tirpitz, Hood x Bismarck, Enterprise x Belfast, etc. etc. Which is all fan 'ships and what not, but also, characters like Ark Royal, Z1, and Littorio exist, and they're all pretty clearly interested in girls. Z1 and Littorio are pretty clearly bi, and Ark Royal is a hard, uh... destroyercon. Then there's Portland, who is clearly a siscon. Also, in at least one chapter of the anthology manga, published by Ichijinsha, a female commander was featured (Azur Lane Comic Anthology: Breaking!! vol. 4 ch. 8 「はかどるニーミちゃん」).
Comparing Gachas to Hoyoverse games are bad comparisons because Hoyoverse is just a normie brand at this point. People play their games simply because it has mass appeal. This game is not aiming for that and other games that have tried have failed. WuWa is likely going to be the next victim of this. Currently the game is doing fine and is growing. It definitely does not need a random shake-up for no reason that may destroy the community that is being made.
So, shipping, because "even remotely suggest[ed] yuri relationships" is supposedly a problem (It's not, as we can see with other titles, such as Azur Lane, not to mention Fate/Grand Order).

I'm not the person who started the Hoyo comparison. We do have the data to prove this claim, involving HI3 vs PGR, false however.
Speaking of which, Honkai Impact 3rd made 3.2 million last month, and Punishing: Gray Raven made 2.08 million.
Side note: Snowbreak apparently made 6.3 million (and Azur Lane made 9 million).
