As a team, we wanted to thank everyone who has played the public demos when available and has forwarded their feedback our way. We’ve taken notice, and since the last time our demo was available, we’ve made drastic changes to how you play Dodolly Tales (while keeping everything you mentioned you liked), and we are really excited to show it off.

Not only have we changed mechanics, but also made improvements to the visuals. We’ve improved clarity on the abilities and enemies. We’ve tweaked other elements to be more cohesive with the narrative we’re trying to tell. Most importantly—the main type of enemies, the rat constructs.

We’ve also heard some requests for localization, and because of that, we are happy to announce that we’ve completed localization for Portuguese and German. So expect those changes in the following weeks.

Next Fest is here, and with it comes the chance to share our demo with you all! Over the past few months, we’ve received a lot of feedback, and now we’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on.

In this demo, you’ll be able to play through the tutorial and the first stage of the game. Cocothea will be your Dodolly of choice, with many magic powers unlocked right from the start.
