There was a tabletop version of Hand of Fate made for higher tier Kickstarter supporters. These were very well received and there's hope that more might be made in the future. Producing physical stuff isn't Defiant's primary focus though, so any forward movement on that front might take some time to happen (if it does at all).

There are some photos on Facebook[www.facebook.com] if you're interested in taking a look.

I too would love to be able to purchase a physical version of the game if it ever became available as I didn't find out about the game until after the kickstarter finished. As you have said, it's not your primary concern, so I suspect if you ever did produce more real-life copies, I can see that it would most likely be a build to order kind of thing.

Picked this up last night and although i have limited experience with tabletops, it kept reminding me of Elder Signs. Elder Signs is more mystery/horror themed i suppose but somewhat similar.

Allow me to introduce you to the Dice Tower, for when you get tired of Z-list hollywood phonies and youtube parasite "celebrities" pretending to be board gamers.

Tabletop version is impossible because you would have to stand up and fight nearly every encounter. Not only many gamers are not fit enough to do that, but it would thin the player base very quickly.
I would not recommend Elder Sign though, it's a great game but nothing really like Hand of Fate. Actually I would recommend Pathfinder the card game, it has some rpg elements and dice rolling, but the card system is quite similar to the one in Hand of Fate.

You know, I could have just enjoyed both, but after a post like this, Im pretty sure that Dice tower isn't the place for me. I dont do 'angry gamer nerd reviews' sorry.

Check out this great website for tabletop card/board/miniatures gaming info. Their forum is about 1/2 way down the page on the right side. See what people there have to suggest (there will likely be at least a few who are familiar with HoF). It's free to register at bgg by the way and they don't spam. I've been a member for several years and really like the site. Good luck!

Besides the Hand of Fate board game, I'd suggest looking at the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. It works differently than the way HoF does (your adventuerer keeps gear from story to story, rather than encounters unlocking new encounters) but it's definitely well designed for what it is.
