I mean. Didn't the ''Asleep in the Forest'' card line, the fact that the dealer talks about how you always resolve everything with violence and the warlord fate tip you off that he clearly wasn't such a good person?
I personally like a flawed hero and i'm looking forward to seeing him as the final boss in the second game
Being master of the Game of Life and Death is going to change a person.
i guess you're right
there werent many other options than to fight what was coming at us though.
Kallas isn't a good guy, far from it. It's what makes him interesting.
oh yeah i forgot about that. so basically you play as an old man who has lived a full life
From when he was a young trainee soldier as per the easy mode card line.
His midlife in the normal fate where he's neither incredibly strong or weak.
Lastly his older days as a ruthless warlord on hard mode trying to get infinite power to conquer the world by asking an old god for help, which is what made him seek out the game of life and death to gain the power of imortality and as seen in the second game used that power to become emperor.
wait what i have seen the trailers and gameplay for hand of fate 2 but i have never seen an implication that kallas is the emperor
And as someone who played the beta the dealer himself mentions that Kallas is the emperor.
Spoiler for the story in HoF2. The dealer is using the new character in 2, Isondry as a tool for revenge to defeat Kallas who have ruled the empire for 100 years, where he have all but ruined the world for most non human races. While corruption (a zombie like virus FYI) is spreading inside the empire itself killing people by the dozen
truly a masterpiece of a story we will have here. and the end will most likely be a vicious cycle since when you beat the dealer as her you will in turn become the dealer again.
