I was with Papy from the beginning with the Indy sim, I thought iRacing would be great when NASCAR sold out to EA but it only took one test (for me anyways) to see this was not for me, the modders for N2k3 did/do more for the racers then IR ever has, I just wish they would do another sim like that (N2k3) for the folks of today, but that's just a lost dream.
The fact it's more of a hobby and the amount of money you need to put into it, is a huge turn off to many steam users.
Though let it be known iRacing is a great game, along with pCars and AC. Okay i'll say it rfactor 2 isn't all that bad as well. Can't all of use sim racer's just get along lol.
I say Thanks iRacing for the best time ive ever had sitting at home racing so many diffrent people around the world
It's funny that he calls himself an Alien when clearly by his iRacing stats he was nowhere. No one could be an alien or judge iRacing with only 22 race starts anyway.
99% of actual aliens and any serious racer is on iRacing. They may load up AC or pCars or rFactor for something different every now and again, but if you are serious about cars and racing the you will be on iRacing.
Thing with AC, GT, rFactor, pCars is that 99% of iRacers never go back to those titles. It's only the 1% of racers whose pride got hurt like CASUAL_ALIEN that turn away from iRacing.
Been racing on iracing for over 5 years, and i dont have one bad thing to say about it, except there mild sell out attempt by releasing on steam...where boatloads of arcade style racers will jump in, suck, crash, ♥♥♥♥♥, then quit because its to hard...
You say its to focused on oval racing?, i dont think you even know what your talking about now, theres way more road course content then oval...and im an oval guy
iracing is a diehard racers paradise, and i have played pretty much any racing game/sim for any console or pc , for the past 20 years...it is by far, the most realistic, challenging, and fun motorsport simulator ever created...and im not exagerating one little bit....if you think you can drive, and i mean really drive, then your going to find out on iracing , one way or another if thats true or false.
Alot of people are saying its a cash cow because of the cars and tracks, well i look at it like this, theres no damn way your going to jump on iracing, and run a late model, then a truck, then a cup car, at multiple tracks, and be competitive at each, not a chance, you need to pick a series, and work at it for a long time to understand the car, and it takes mass amounts of practice at each race track to become competitive and fast....therefore, there is really no point in buying all kinds of cars and tracks off the bat...stick with one series, and learn the ins and outs of that particular car.....it really shouldnt cost you tha much, especially when in rookie, most if not all the tracks for that car come with the initial sub fee.
bout all i got to say on it, like i said, its the only place to race in my opinion.
That's a headshot to Mr. "Casual Alien"
they still exist, see fake week 13 accounts
"EarnhardtDied LOL"
"Allahu Ackbar"
actual names on that game
True... I doubt we will live to see the day of not having someone trolling. Atleast you dont see them outside of rookie series track and cars.
THIS post, in a nut shell, sums up iRacing in terms of its quality and economy ..
sorry, the "it's too expensive" mantra doesn't fly .. not one little bit .. at all
hands down the most economical and rewarding service i've ever been part of .. and that's coming from someone who gets bored real easy with anything .. i see no end to my enjoying this superb service
