Thanks for the response and actually addressing my comment. Is the new pit crew animation system throughout all levels or only in the uper divisions. Like would I see it in Street Stock ?
Sounds like they are bit behind with DX versions with 12 on the horizion.
The animation system is currently ONLY available for the "Pit Flagman". He's the guy who stands at the front of the pit box with a sign. Originally, he was a static guy with the "FIRST RACING" attire who just sat there, so the current one is a pretty big improvement vs the last one, but they have stated they are looking into doing animated pit crews down the road. I would imagine this would be quite a task as they have to dynamically animate crews for all of the different cars and series.
Not only that, but i don't quite know how well they'll have them going for other racers. *shrug* Even NR2003 only had them for the player pit. Though, by having a proper pit (you don't hand over controls like in pCars or AC), it's already well ahead of other games.
DX12 is more of an optimization tool, I would say. DX11 would still be a MAJOR improvement over DX9, and I doubt any of the other sims are going to update to DX12 anytime soon. :)
I think the biggest change will be their implementation of OpenGL, which will allow for TRUE Cross-platform gaming, eg: Mac and SteamOS.
1. Not everyone lives in America. I do, but you are an idiot for trying to use that as your defense on your statement about an international product. Some places are not at lucky as we are, or to them it's a foreign, albeit amazing concept.
b. Freedom of speech does not mean that your opinion is factually valid. I can say 2+2=Fish but that does not make me correct unless I was talking about quotes from The Fairly Oddparents.
III. I could make a comparison of the amount of jet fuel used per day vs how delicious toothpaste is. Does not mean it makes any sense.

You have to make an account on Steam's website, agree to their terms and conditions, and continue to follow them or face banishment. The Constitutional rights, such as Freedom of Speech, technically only applies to public locations. For other issues, such as human rights, work rights, etc, you have to go through a listing of various Federal and State level documentation and laws to understand the best course of action. Steam reserves the right to remove you from their service for any statement that does not follow the terms and conditions.
Eh. I find that ok too. *shrug* But that's based on my other options, after plenty of research, and also being one of those screaming people who hated iRacing at first not just because of the cost, but because they destroyed the entire NR2003 modding community by suing people.
Then I eventually tried it on a whim using a code sent by Tim Wheatley. >_> That was 6 years ago.
I would like to see a "try before you buy" option in iracing.
there is no way that I know of where you can test the content before making a purchase. It would be cool if they used a week 13m or a few days during week 13m where a car and/or track would be free to all members for, say, a limited time (iibc, RRRE lets you test cars before purchase)(steam now has the "free game for a weekend" on selected games at selected times)
i listen to actual raicng drivers not a bunch of clueless gamers that have no clue about real racing, this is a racing SIMULATOR not a racing GAME. there is a big difference, if you are a gamer then iRacing is NOT for you. If you have always wanted to bea racing driver then this is the Simulation for you. Some real world knowledge of racecraft is required.

iRacing is the most modern racing simulation ever created. Every inch of every track is modeled perfectly. I’ve used iRacing to learn new courses such as Virginia International Raceway, or to keep the rust off at tracks such as Infineon Raceway. For the hardcore sim racer, this is your dream simulation. For the actual real-world racer, this is your ‘at-home’ test vehicle. Acclimate yourself with a new course or learn something new on an old favorite. Even a rookie in the sim racing world can get up to speed fast within the iRacing system

Today, more than ever, it’s important to be competitive right out of the box. iRacing.com gives me that edge by being able to prepare before I arrive at the track. The cars and tracks are amazingly accurate! On the flip side, it’s simply a blast to race online against friends, fans and drivers from all over the world. There is nothing out there like iRacing.com. Period!

iRacing is by far the best racing simulation out there. No wonder more and more professional drivers use it regularly. It’s shocking how finely detailed the tracks are; the visual cues and references points are right on the money. And the car setups are wide open. Anything you can adjust on a real car you can adjust on the iRacing version and the effects are the same.

It’s pretty realistic, right up to the part of me wiping out! It doesn’t hurt near as bad. It’s pretty amazing!

I spent time on Road America where they had an open practice. It was really cool. There were about 60 guys and it was just like a real practice session. One of the guys sent a set-up over digitally and we put that in and talked to him a little bit and followed him around the track. It really helps, I think. … I am relying on that iRacing stuff to get me up to speed in a situation like that.

iRacing.com is the best racing simulator hands down. Not only for the accuracy of the laser scanned tracks and cars, but also anyone can sign up and be racing against professional drivers from across the world who like me, use iRacing as a tool to improve driving skills. I spend as much time as possible on iRacing. Not only does it have a lot of use for race preparation and practice, it’s a lot of fun!
Recently, I’ve started working on iRacing’s V8 Supercar with their new tire model and data acquisition program to actually overlay data from the iRacing V8 compared to my real V8 at Phillip Island. Unbelievable. The new tire model has such huge potential and is already a massive step forward for iRacing. Come take us on!

Using iRacing has been a great tool for me to learn the race tracks we go to, especially the road courses where I don’t have the experience. On the oval tracks, it really helps me to get re familiar with the track, coming to pit road, and where the bumps are! The most realistic program to get the job done

I am on iRacing as much as I can. It’s amazing how real the tracks and the racing are. The iRacing simulation is a tremendous amount of help for me. It lets me take some laps on a track I have never seen before.

iRacing.com is the number one racing simulation out there. Every track on here has been perfectly modeled, from every bump to every surface change; it challenges the driver to adjust their driving style to suit each individual situation, as you would have to in real world racing. It is also great for learning new tracks or to serve as a refresher, and these days, getting up to speed right out of the box in the first session is huge, and iRacing helps you do that.

LoganoIt’s really cool! I use it a lot before I go to every race to try and get a feel for the racetrack. It’s so realistic. It’s cool how the changes can really relate to real racecars..and it’s fun. I go and race the guys on the internet and run a normal or hosted race and just have a good time with it.

All the tracks on iRacing are spot on. If you practice iRacing on a track you’ve never driven before, you will know that track when you drive it in a real car. Plus you’re racing against real people on iRacing. The other day I passed a guy at Lanier Speedway in a Legends race and he came on the voice chat and said, ‘Is that you Will? It’s me, Oriol [Servia].’ When I told him it was me, Oriol said, ‘If I’d known that, I wouldn’t have let you past so easily!

iRacing is the most enjoyable and realistic simulation available and it keeps getting better all the time. The tracks are fantastic and identical to the real ones, like I found out at Road Atlanta. You can race just for fun but I also really like the competition in the higher series and especially in the World Championship. Winning the 2010 iRacing.com World Championship Series Road Racing is my best achievement in sim racing and the competition keeps me coming back for more.
The goal in the Rookies should be to get out as soon as possible and not necessarily to finish first. You can easily do it just by running time trials. Once you're out and racing in higher classes the racing is pretty clean (at least on the road side).
Look how but hurt he is because someone said game. Do you drive race cars with mice and keyboards or joysticks? What kind of racecar do you drive with these kinds of controls?
Cautions, and restarts.... HAHAHA not even Cautions and he calls it a simulator . 15 car pile ups and no caution flags .. PRO driver nut swinger they endorse it for other reasons than just being a good sim. Seriously there is so much wrong with it it's not changed in years.
yes it's called " learning before think i'm pro drivers" and that's why "rookie" are made !
and just with your two post i just can agree with you : we don't want players with your spirit in iracing ;)
