VR doesn't work (Pimax Crystal Light)

Hi there,
my VR has arrived today and I've installed PimaxPlay, set room boundary and IPD.
When I start the game my VR doesn't show anything, when i move it a bit it only shows the default demo room.

Can someone help me please? What do I need to setup so it works?
(It has inside out tracking so it tracks my movement)

your most likely not launching it in VR? When you launch the server do you select "openXR" or does it just default to monitor? If so, In the UI go to settings in the bottom left, then scroll down to "show sim display mode prompt" and make sure its tabbed. I would show you a screenshot but I have no idea how to do that in steam forums. Also if problems continue, Goto the actual Iracing forum and there is a simplified walk through on pimax setup.

On a side note, Your account shows 0 hours played on Iracing. Just an FYI the user interface for race selection ect, Does not use VR . You wont see it till you select and join a server or launch a practice server. Then you will see the above prompts ect. Good luck

I found out that I need to install SteamVR to even be able to run anything in VR... I only found this out because a friend who has VR told me, it doesnt say it in any guide or anywhere... it's expected for people to know.

Ive been running pimax without steam VR for years. On the crystal light now. You will find at some point that openXR without steam at all is more efficient. See you out there!

What's OpenXR?

its a runtime like "openVR" or "oculus". When you launch a server from the UI you should get a choice. If you dont have openXR installed you might only have openVR as a choice. In which case steamvr is your only option.
launch pimaxplay, then navigate to "device settings" , then "general" and see if your openXR runtime is set to pimax or steam. It basically allows you to run the VR with less background programs, which in turn helps your performance.
Either way I am glad you got it working and the tutorials will help you dial it in.
