How do I download IRacing through the website?

I purchased IRacing on steam but heard it's better to download it through the website.

I am trying to download it through this link but it says "The iRacing service does not appear to be running on your system."

Any help?

That doesn't seem to work anymore and forces Steam-buyers to install through Steam.

That's so aids. T_T I gotta download the whole game while I can't even access most of the content

Wait until you find out that you get a free Steam cd key to activate if you purchased your membership through iRacing's website, and on top of that, you can get 12 months of membership plus a free F4 car through FIA's iRacing promotion. I got it for $10 CAN, but it depends on your local club if it costs you anything.

contact support get account switched from steam to iracing direct, you can go on the website and to your account settings and generate a key for iracing once you got that install iracing but dont open it at all via steam and open the iracing UI downloaded from the website, go in to the UI setting and enable steam overlay, it will now track your game time via steam just the same as the steam version.
