How to log in and fix your iRacing [ACTUALLY WORKS]
Contact support@iracing.com (email).
Ask them to change your account from a Steam iRacing account to a Regular iRacing account.
It will prompt you to go and log into the website.
Use the password that it gives along with the email you used.

You should be good if you follow these steps, I did the same.

That that are terrible things in the world could be said everytime anyone says anything negative or critic about ANYTHING. Hipocrisy. In his view nobody is allowed to criticize the (obvious) problems of this game because there is war and hunger in the world. If he really cares so much about those things he should be there helping and not even have a steam account and sit at home playing video games.

Oh, no, we criticize the game ourselves if you ever checked out the iRacing forums. It's a never-ending discussion on little tweaks in physics, setups, how systems work, etc.

To be honest, a large portion of the iRacing community didn't really want Steam support to begin with for reasons like this *shrug* I voted yes because I wanted to share the game with my friends.

I kinda regret that decision, simply because I see more children now then ever.

Yeah man I totally understand that that community really must be critic. I just joined it but I see your point. The problem is that sometimes "fanboysm" takes over outside of iR itself and some ultra-hipocrite statements, like the one by that guy I referred to, do pop up.

It is like you cant criticize anything anymore because well, there are WARS in the world. Lol. The game really has some problems (as many games do) but these guys seem to get personally offended with criticism. I look forward to playing a game that makes pple love it THAT much. :)

The problem comes with that iRacing was initially HATED by people. (Including myself). iRacing is the Phoenix that grew from a company called the Papyrus Design Group, which made the NASCAR Racing series on PC as well as another amazing-for-the-time game called Grand Prix Legends. After their company essentially went bankrupt (due to losing the license for NASCAR), some of the upper staff, including David Kaemmer, worked on getting back into the game. This ended up with a company called "F1RST". Then there was a whole bunch of nonsense, they bought back the rights to the engine used to power the NASCAR Series games (specifically the NR2003 engine), started suing mod developers [some of which were reverse engineering the executable, but also included some who didn't because of overzealous lawyers], etc.

So, they didn't have many friends in the community for quite some time, even before the entire expense part of it became a big deal.

However, that wasn't the end of the problem. What happened is that people really did enjoy the game, and talked about it in Sim Racing forums like you see people do about Steven Universe or Doctor Who. This lead to certain groups flat out hating the game even more the neccessary.

You also have groups like PRC that's sole existance is based to create National Enquirer level articles about the game simply because a few of its users got banned (not that they didn't deserve it).

All in all, people get defensive when they feel attacked all the time. I prefer defenseive people over the type that "assume it's all about them".

(Example: iRacing users used to be like Assetto Corsa users are now. First comment on Bridge to Gantry's youtube video about iRacing's Nurburgring is "Why didn't you review the Assetto Corsa Version", of which the author responded that he did like 5 months ago.)

So.. yeah. Defense does tend to happen a bit.

Also doesn't hurt that the part that people attack is always the same 3 things that don't really bother many users anymore. Certainly doesn't bother me. I managed to get most of my content while working at a McDonald's.... *shrug**

I don't wanna change to a regular iRacing account since it's cheaper for me in my currency. Many sites working with Steam login works without any problems since API change but yet iRacing couldn't manage to fix this, I'm sure they are trying their best but it has become very frustrating.

It won't be cheaper here at all. I've recommended this because the website is more efficient.

I tried it yesterday, nothing happened, so I get refund (at least for the game, not the sub) from steam today and the disaster comes to an end.

You might have to be patient, they can't be responding to emails all day.

1. Price 2. Physics (because dale Jr. commented on it in 2011 so it must still be relevant over 24+ build releases later) and 3. Fanboys

And of course you just get the standard "I suck but it's iRacings fault" threads
CaesarM57 18 DIC 2015 a las 18:02
Physics - oh yeah as if there were many otther options at the same level. Basically Rfactor2, Asseto Corsa and Game Stock Cars from what Ive researched (reading steam reviews). The first has terrible graphics, the second will probably forever suck at multiplayer (hotlap simulator) and the latter has also dated graphics and only tracks and cars from here (Brazil). And PCars, eliminated.
