Already have an account
Hey there,

Two questions:

I already have an iRacing account, innactive since october last year, but I have about two cars and on track.

If I buy the game here on Steam - was thinking about the 6 month-membership - will it be like a new account or will it re-activate my old account?

If it's a new account, can I contact the support to merge the accounts?

Also, it says the game is auto-renewed every 6 months. Can this auto-renew be cancelled/deactivated?

Thanks!

I can't really answer your questions as I bought mi subscription through iRacing web site. However, from what I've been reading on this forum, the best deals are to be found on iRacing web site, not on Steam. Right now, you can get 1/2 off on a one year sub on the iRacing web site. The code for lapsed accounts is PR-49LAPSED2015. That's $49.00 per year and it's valid until Dec 4th. Once your account is active you can get a Steam key so you can link your account.

yeah but not for me because of my currency.

If you buy the game from here you will have to start over from the beginning. Also, you are not going to be able to take advantage of the main iracing website offers and when your 6 months expire, you will have to pay full price for your membership if you want to continue.

Renew your old account if it's lapsed ,then you can associate that account with Steam. There is no need to buy the game on Steam.

It's generally cheaper to renew directly through iRacing.

Like I said, it's cheaper for me on Steam because I can pay in my currency, not in USD. But thanks. I won't be renewing now.
