My iracing needed an update so im updating it but when i click resume it keeps automatically pausing the update and it says disk write error anyone know how to fix this??

most likely steam disease, go to task manager and kill any and all processes for iracing and then resume the update. If that does not work, support.iracing.com and send in a ticket.

try clear download cache in steam settings what i did hopefully it will work once done downloading

I did the clear cache thing, it downloaded until the end 99% then stopped because "Content file locked". Any tips?

same problems with every update. spend more time dealing with these issues than racing it feels like. No other game i have has had issues like this since arma 2. Also, why does iracing need things running in the background when im not using it? What data is it collecting?

opening the game files and running the stopit.exe file may help. if that doesnt help use task manager to kill the iracing helper service

Don't use steam to update your game. Open the iRacingUI and let it update, close it then launch the game from steam once it is up to date.

@Marcel101 Where do you open the iRacingUI? direct from the web? Because I have a direct acces but is linked to steam and made the update of all the content including not owned! Lot of disk space that i dont have. Thanks

this happens to me everytime theres an update on steam, only fix i found was to uninstall game and reinstall, fix it everytime but still, every time an update i loose the i racing ,exe,

Is there a permanent fix for this? It's so annoying. Can I block iracing helper permanently instead of having to close it every other day??
