Why would I be trolling? I haven't tried the game, but I hate when players get banned or timeouts because somebody obviously doesn't understand who pays their bill. Fanboys like you think this kind of behaviour is ok until you are the one getting a ban or timeout.
Now if you want to join iRacing just to wreck everyone, then fair enough, don't waste your money.
You are completely right. You DON'T own iracing so you know so much better how the "ban" system works....
When you hate the fact that player get banned for being stupid, a ♥♥♥♥, wrecking everybody.... yh than pls stick with forza or whatever and ruin every1s day there.
iRacing review every single case! If you want to protest some1 for intentional wrecking you NEED to send them the replay data from the wreck!!!!!!!! But you know that better bcoz i only player iracing for over 2 years now...
"Fanboys like you think this kind of behaviour is ok until you are the one getting a ban or timeout."
That will never happen! Bcoz i know how to drive and say this magical word after i wrecked somebody: "Sorry"
Like i said about 1 or 2 weeks ago: to get banned you need to drive for example in the freaking wrong direction!
But if you want to listen to this EvilC4 dude who know nothing okay, or you listen to some ppl who raced 500+ races and never got protested!
Anyway, when developers ban people from a subscription-based game makes me not want it at all. Thanks to EvilC4 for warning others. And I hope EvilC4 gets his money back (if he lives in Europe he can demand it back), as he bought a service and they didn't deliver. Enough said. Not going to watch this thread again.
You dont even have the game and you have the nerve to come here to defend some random guy? and you are taking his word for a fact.... Mate you dont know the iRacing rules, the way it works and, as everyone can see, you are not a member, so, I bet you didnt have read the iRacing sporting code.
Yeah, you sound legit. And btw, paying for a game doesnt give you the right to do whatever you want, there are rules, and if you ask me, thats the best feature of iRacing and thats why I pay for this game, because of the amazing multiplayer organization and the amazing filter they have to exclude the intentional wreckers, the trolls and in general.... all the scum.
From all the race games. Here you can really drive normally without wrecking if you go the right way and practice good. Don't keep fighting with others in the rookies, because some or later you or him crash. Just let them by and soon you will gain points and get to higher divisions. Chances for crashes are always, but thats racing. Higher divisions you can really enjoy the close racing and the respect is much better here. Also because you using your real name in this. Makes is more personal.
Read the sporting code is also a must. Ask things on forums to get out the best out your career. Well first you gotta get out of the rookie series, but that easy. You should have put this one the iracing forums and not here. They could tell you what went wrong and stuff. The ban must has a reason. Something like wreckless driving i think. And ruin someones races without apoligize is really not done.
I've subscribed to IRacing for a couple of years and found it to be an intimidating experience. I'm a newb at racing and very carefully go round letting cars pass me that were faster, avoiding crashes and practising a lot before each race. I was still a few seconds off the top cars in the race, but managed to tip-toe round and complete the races mostly without incident. I've still had abuse from racers despite being careful. I'm above rookie, but I don't like playing the game because of the intensity of some of the racers who take it way too seriously.
To be fair, many of the better and more competitive players have an excellent attitude and enjoy the challenge of having inexperienced competitors on the track. Unfortunately, there are just too many people willing to get aggressive for me to feel comfortable playing. Its an uneasy place to be for newbs, and anyone who thinks racing involves risks and contact with other cars - don't even think about iRacing!
As for banning - I'm not sure about this guys tale. Certainly it seems a little crazy that he should be banned for being rammed by another car. At the same time, I've never been officially complained about so I don't have any experience of this. My take on it would be this: the complainer was someone who was one of the iRacing Elite (ie. those who not only take it seriously but are very good at it and maybe even professional racers.) Some of these guys have a legendary status in the game. As such, their request for banning would carry more weight than an average Joe. That would explain why a new player would be punished so severly. Much higher-ranked players take part in newb races all the time. There's nothing stopping them from entering, so its purely an assumption that the guy who complained was a new racer just because it was Rookie class.
I think the best way to resolve is to see a replay and judge fairly on the facts. Looks like it won't be forthcoming, though.
there is absolutely ZERO chance of one of these Pros being in the Rookie split for I'm going to guess Street Stocks, because as soon as you get to a C Licence you are no longer eligible for the Rookie series. Also, just because you have been a member for years and are a pro etc. it doesn't give you "extra weight" when it comes to protests. I protested a guy who joined iRacing 4 years before me and had a much higher iRating than I do, it came back successful and he's the one (hopefully) taking a vacation for intentional wrecking.
The guy has come here, made a statement and then isn't backing it up. This makes me think it's all a load of bull. Plus with this second guy jumping in, coincidentally with Evil in his name, and defending him, it sounds like guys from that Anti-iRacing website ( I forget what it's called, but they have IP bans because they were trolling people by wrecking)
I suggest some admin put this discussion to sleep for good. No reason for anyone to get more mad here.
