Agreed. If someone has their opinion swayed by some fail-troll then we don't want you in our community. My leagues are full of +25 year old men and women who are all respectful, nice, and clean. iRacing is only for those who are serious about autoracing.
it doesn't matter how much this post gets bumped to the top, everyone who's ever used the service knows it's not true. anybody looking to get into simracing will find their way into forums for other racing games and every single one of them will say iRacing is the best online racing experience, with actual consequences for people who try to sour the race for others.
For starters Mr. Troll you cannot simply scream and cuss at new drivers. You will have your voicechat disabled. iRacing does their job well as far as the ban/appeal system. There is a clear difference between racing hard, driving above your talent level and/or intentionally wrecking a fellow racer. I've made some VERY aggresive moves and was given a warning, but due to the appeal system I was able to revoke the origional decision.
It seems like you're incredibly salty over your rookie experience, which I'll admit. Getting up to the D or C class license is tough. But guess what? If you drive with your head, and not try to win on every turn. Safety rating is the key. iRating is the lock. Figure it out.
This post here proves to me that you were probably banned with good reason. You thought Iracing was an arcade game where you can drive however you want. Wrong its a SIM with rules. They dont just ban people for the reasons in your story. I have raced 3 years straight and have caused a couple major wrecks. NEVER have a had someone cuss at me nor have I ever been banned.
You comment "Hey thanks sooo much for bumping this thread to the top :) Im sorry I didn't actually read your comments but thanks anyways :)" proves you are nothing more than a little troll. The iracing community hates people like you period.
Let me guess you play with a controller too? Instead of preaching to people save your money just leave Iracing. The community doesnt need to want people like you.
calling a person that is clearly lying, a liar, is toxic behavior? amazing line of reasoning you have there.
eh, probably a good idea to actually read what a person has posted if you're going to write something like that. op is a troll and a liar, haven't called the person anything more than that.
I wasn't talking about anyone other than myself and you replied to me saying "you" while talking about someone else.
Can you spot the disconnect? Lol
Just take a moment and think about it. If the scenario in OP was possible don't you think both the Steam and official forums would be completely flooded with posts from Rookies that get put in time-out over making mistakes on the track? What's worse is OP makes the claim that he got banned for "not getting out of the way even though he was in the wall". Which is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Nobody would ever be banned for that, ever, period. You wouldn't even get a warning for that. Why is it there's no replay even though everything on the track gets recorded? It literally costs the player nothing, not even space on their drive, to save every single replay. Yet OP doesn't have one, I've actually never seen a replay for any claim made by people with unbelievable stories like in the OP. Take a wild guess as to why that is.
my guess, op did save the replay, as there's no reason not to, it takes only a couple mouse-clicks, and op had a very good reason in favor of saving it. there could be a couple reasons not to share it. first being that the story would be found out to be a complete lie, that the person was wrecking other drivers on purpose (because, as we all know, you have to do something really bad on the track to get a ban. people walk away with warnings for intentional retaliation wrecking, and op would have us believe he was put on timeout for being in the way of faster traffic while trying to avoid... yeah right, give me a break, gtfo with that nonsense lol). the only other reason that makes any sense at all (if the incident actually is as described) is that op got into a fight with the driver that hit him and it became a big thing between them that sucked in the other drivers as well.. and he was given the timeout for THAT reason, having absolutely nothing to do with the wreck at all.
regardless, there's no way anyone would ever get put on timeout for what is described in the op. just not going to happen, ever.
