irating question
Hello, racing noob here.
I was wondering if I get involved in an accident I didn't cause and have to withdraw from a race does that mess up my rating?
I'm trying a few of the mazda races and it's absolute carnage, I'm going for slower but consistent but people are always spinning out or doing stupid things.

yes it does affect. One advice, you're probably in rookie class start from the back and avoid everyone you will get pretty high finished from other crashing eatchother

Agreed. Safety rating "SR" is accidents per corner, so any X's add up and are negated by running clean corners. So the worst possible thing you can do for SR is get an X or five then leave without finishing the race.

Yeah spot on advice actually.
I didn't qualify and had a clean race and managed to get 5th! the top lads were insanely fast but I was top of the rookies by quite a way.

the act of quitting itself does not affect iRating, its what happens as a result of quitting that in turn will affect your ratings.

iRating is a rating that goes up or down based on who you beat and who beat you during a race. The better you finish (ie: beating more people) the more rating points you will get from them. The lower you finish, the more you will lose.

So if you quit a race, everyone who doesnt quit, will end up finishing ahead of you in the results giving you a really poor finish and in turn a loss of ratings.

Its always best to finish out a race (if your car isnt too damaged to drive that is).
