Car will not move
My car will not move from pit in a test session. I mapped an XBOX controller. The problem was that clutch and brake were both fully engaged, but I managed to fix clutch. Brake is fully engaged now regardless of where I map it. I've spent an hour trying to find anyone else with this issue, but I can't. Really want to actually drive a car at some point.

have you tired just pressing the throttle?
adamfrombuffalo Sep 25, 2016 @ 7:22am
Yes, that engages throttle but does not release brake.

Are you reporting as combined pedals?

I do not know what that means. Basically I'm using an Xbox 360 wired controller for a few weeks until my racing wheel comes. I'm switching it with a PS3 controller to see if that works...I'll report back with results.

Same issue when using a PS3 controller. Am I missing something here?

I had the same issue. Dunno for sure what fixed it. I updated the driver after deliberately rolling back to prev version. Or might have been rebooting the machine.
How did you map the controller? Wheres your brake and accelerator?

Brake is left trigger, gas is right trigger. I'm going to reboot because I haven't done that yet...lol.

when configuring an xbox controller there is a little checkbox that says 'this is a gamepad' or something, make sure to check that off.

What can happen, as seth is saying, is that you're using a "combined" throttle.

So iRacers typically so a wheel and pedals, so for me this would be

Clutch - Axis 0 <>
Brake - Axis 1 <>
Throttle - Axis 2 <>

But for you yours would probably be

Throttle - Axis 0 <
Brake - Axis 0 >

On the xbox controller they use a weird system of "Combining" the 2 triggers into a single Axis (I think it refers to it as RX or something like that)

There's a way to resolve it but I really do forget. Just giving you an idea of what's happening. :)
