Sketchy much?
Was doing some file cleaning today and found the iracing folder in the steam directory.
Upon trying to delete it, it said "hey something from inside the folder is running in the background". WHHHHAAAT? Something that I uninstalled months ago for some reason has some sh*tty service running in my background?
Who would have thought.
So iRacing.com Helper service seems to be a bit in denial that I didn't like the game and still runs in the background occupying almost 4mb of ram doing hell knows what.

People with that problem can just end the task and shift send to hell all the files from sketchyRacing.

Nothing sketchy about that service, it's for updating the iRacing software. Why it was not deleted after unstall I don't know, but it's easy to manually delete it.

yeee it's not really good looking when not just leaving gunk your the directory but actively running in the background for no reason.
not implying that it's something malicious, but it's still stupid.

Sadly, it's not an iRacing exclusive problem. For whatever reason, various companies let their helpers run in the background even after you uninstall their software. Like, I got Hi-Rez's and DICE's (Battlefield) helper services running in the background despite having no games of either companies installed.

I only post the link when it relates to questions being asked. It saves a lot of time from writing the same thing over and over. Guess you fail to understand efficiency. Keep trolling, youre good at it.
