whats the best VR without a displayport?

Ive done extensive searching trying to find the right VR for my situation. Ive tried the Oculas quest2 with the link and that worked but the SDE was a big turnoff for me. I tried the HP Reverb G2 and without a display port. I have a USB-c to DP adaptor and it works but im stuck at 60HZ/60 fps. No adapter will let you run 90hz that I have found. I thought about a eGPU but they say its not that great. So now im looking at the Odyssey. It has USB and HDMI connections. Is this my best option? Does this work well with Iracing?
My Laptop specs
MSI GS 75 stealth laptop
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
32.0 GB Ram
RTX 2080 GTX max Q
I have USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 3 connections and a separate a USB-c
