iRacing

Using purchased cars/tracks offline
I want to practice as this new PC and sim rig is different from my previous setup. I'm also quite new to iRacing but not sim racing. I purchased two cars and a track to practice on, however, when I select Race AI and try to set up my race, the damn cars I purchased along with the single track just happens to NOT be available...is this the devs way of saying "you can purchase our content but only use it when we say you can?" If this is the case...I won't waste my time. Not trying to be negative, but why would this be this way?

AI is still a work in progress not all tracks and cars are AI compatible yet.

Seems odd that the two cars I purchased, along with Le Mans is not available, but seemingly every other car/track is but I'd have to purchase. Thanks for your reply

Yea best advice stay away from Iracing if you planing to lean in practice and inprove better lines and stable racing techiques. Iracng is for online competitive racing,no exeption.and you really wont learn under pressure, the outcomes will impact on your rating.my subjestion is Rfactor2 make yourself a Simracing carrier with a single sitter,or a type of racing cars you like and have a time goal, one thing to Avoid which is really bad is Jumping from cars to cars, that is just terrible(long Explanation).

This is probably the worst advice I've ever heard.

@OP, There is Time trials and Test Drive mode.
It's this way because development takes time and money.

ya I have to agree that it's horrible advise , given the fact OP specified they arent new to sim racing. If you have the fundamentals down already, iRacing and its ecosystem is great at improving, but yes it is expensive AF and you'll have ups & downs but overall will improve.

I started with AC & ACC and transitioned to iRacing for the simple fact that I was completely bored with racing at Monza & Spa. But i'm having soo much more fun than I thought I would.

But OP at the end of the day, if your main interest in sim racing is single player vs AI, then iRacing isnt for you.

typical answer from a player that dosent know what logic actually is.

I don't agree with you, so you attack my intelligence?
You really want to get into a logic argument?

"Iracng is for online competitive racing,no exeption.and you really wont learn under pressure, the outcomes will impact on your rating."

If it's for online comp ONLY like you claim, why is there Time Trials and Test Drive modes? For the second statement you made, about not learning under pressing, is completely asinine. The only way to get better dealing with pressure is to learn under pressure.

Also, both games/sims have different physics, so to compare them is totally illogical.
But I wouldn't expect less from a RF fan boy.

yup time trials and test mode where people are claiming to not being able to use their content.and hold on the second statement its called optional,AE able to chose, you may wanna know where the physics from iracing came from and one the pioneers of iracing came from too,for you to say that both sims are different in physics, well i expect that from someone with that username.

What? You're suggesting I stay away from iRacing because I want to understand the physics of the tire model and vehicles I purchased? Am I reading your comment correctly? You think it's better to avoid a sim/game if one wishes to practice on their own for a week or two before jumping in and ruining a server because they did not practice? Your logic and opinions are severely flawed. I own a track car in real life, and I can tell you right now that the best way to learn how to properly drive your car is to hire an instructor and practice without anyone else around you.

Please don't try to be one of those elitist in this community, because you're terrible at it

jezz calm down,The way you approached to my suggestion is like a total failure to adoption at sim racing,Am I reading your comment correctly? You think it's better to avoid a sim/game if one wishes to practice on their own for a week or two before jumping in and ruining a server because they did not practice?,here i think you may have confused me with some else,i actually suggested that.and for you to say this. Please don't try to be one of those elitist in this community, because you're terrible at it,at this point you dont need to reply me, this complety out of line here, anywaway good luck

RF2 looks like an arcade game.
i respect you opinion tho,the content shown in this video comparation is a premium content,i assume it should be fully finished and fully tested,to me this is not a valid source of phisics comparation if the same driver chose to compare both cars, why is it different steering angles, and corner entry, not only abs choice between both cars,i have modded plenties of cars for RF1,and also their physics, you know the Main problem with RF2 is a lot of content is really good well calculated,But there is a lot of free unfinished garbage,am talking about tracks with no shadows, vehicles and tracks converted from RF1 that they need more lightning optimization.
