The iRacing service does not appear to be running on your system. How do I fix this, pls help?

I downloaded the game on steam and didnt think I would have to do the download in the quick start guide, I now can't download it even when I manage to find it here https://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/instruction.jsp So I can't actually play even though I paid the sub fee, can someone please help? I just seem to be missing their software from the website but I am unable to get it "So, I didn't click download on the quick start guide cuz I figured I would have everything when I installed through steam. Not it won't let me download whatever is in the quick start guide, or rather I can't even get to it. Even though I bought a 1 month sub, help?"

According to their support pages they say that you need to install it through Steam if you buy it on Steam. As I see more posts of people having issues downloading iRacing through Steam I would contact their support, there might be something wrong at their end.

Having exact same problem. Have filed ticket with Support and will post when they answer. They did say it is taking longer than normal to respond.

must be taking them a really long time to reply as you said you would post here when you heard from them. have u heard and fixed your issue just too busy racing to reply??? please help me if u cn
