I don't see the problem really, it's the same for everyone. It in fact helps to keep everyone nice and friendly, because they can't hide behind a nickname.

This is not an online game. This is a Simulation. Real Drivers, real amateurs and real names like in every other sports competition.
Never saw that Usain Bolt is called Flash4783 or something like that. If you want to play "Games", choose GT Sports, Forza, Project Cars...

if you have a real reason for wanting to use a fake name, you can contact iracing support to use a fake one. But generally, they want people to use their real names so people are nicer and arent as toxic. Which works pretty well tbh

It goes to show the social statuses of people, It's called privacy even at work there is this thing called invasion of privacy you know REAL LAWS REAL PEOPLE. like you said its not an online game but its an online simulation with online people that you have no clue of their intentions. btw sorry to burst your bubble but there are race car drivers with pseudonyms

Contact iracing support, they are more than helpful on these regards ;)

i know multiple people who have a name change, as long as you got a important or logical reason for it other than, "duh nickname in online game" they are gonna be helping as good as they can.

and as others stated, there are indeed driver pseudonyms irl aswell.

if you have security reasons, identidy problems/issues in the past etc. they are more than helpful, trust me
