Then there is also the updates. When Nascar changes something, iRacing changes also. Tell me another simulation that does that after the initial release without mods?
It should either be subscription based, or puchase DLC cars/tracks. But not both.
But, you'll often find. That those updates require another payment.
For example, i used to race indy car series and the larger Nascar tracks. But, now my cars are all obsolete and can't be used in the official series. So, i'd have to buy those again.
Last time i logged on, the devs made a comment about actively looking for a new LMP2 car. Which is going to make the HPD obsolete. So, the cars you buy have a life expectancy added to them.
Iracing only really makes sense if it's the only thing you play.
I have a road A licence, and would love to take part in F1 races at silverstone and spa, without committing to a season in game. But, it's costs don't make that viable. I'd love to race Nascar at daytona and talledega. But again. cost prohibitive.
I've a proven history of racing safe, gained my licences. But it's people like me that the costs are putting off. Not just casuals that havn't tried it before. But former players that don't have quite as much time to give the game.
get out of Rookie class as fast as you can and go from their.
